Venues

The Melbourne Cabaret Festival is proudly supported by the City of Stonnington. It hosts the fabulous Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran where the festival hub will take place, alongside two new adjacent venues - The Space and Love Machine nightclub. In addition, The Butterfly Club in the CBD will host our new fringe programming stream.

To make the most of these venues over the festival, let us tempt you to join us as a Festival Friend and indulge in two weeks of atmospheric, seductive and soul-stirring entertainment.

Until capacity is reached, Festival Friends receive premium reserved seating in the Chapel Off Chapel hub. You also receive discounts to every show across the festival, including 20% off the Opening Gala alone.

Chapel Off Chapel

Chapel Off Chapel is the City of Stonnington’s premier venue for the arts. We'll be converting the main space at Chapel into an intimate cabaret soiree with all seating at tables.

Having hosted artists such as Coldplay and Shirley Bassey (music), Bud Tingwell (drama), Tripod (comedy) and The Bald Archys (visual art), Chapel maintains a dynamic performance schedule, cementing its role as a vanguard for artistic and cultural excellence.

Described by Cabaret Festival supporter Geoffrey Rush as “an industrious hotbed [for the arts]”, since its opening in 1995 Chapel Off Chapel has earned, both nationally and internationally, an excellent reputation as a progressive arts and entertainment venue.
