The Melbourne Cabaret Festival is proudly supported by the City of Stonnington which enables it to centre its activities in Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran.
In addition, The Butterfly Club in the CBD hosts our fringe programming stream which is held after the cabaret festival.
To make the most of these venues over the festival, let us tempt you to join us as a Festival Friend and indulge in two weeks of atmospheric, seductive and soul-stirring entertainment.
Festival Friends receive discounts to every show across the festival, including $20 off the Opening Gala alone.
Chapel Off Chapel
Chapel Off Chapel is the City of Stonnington’s premier venue for the arts. We'll be converting both spaces at Chapel into intimate cabaret soirees with most seating at tables.
Having hosted artists such as Coldplay and Shirley Bassey (music), Bud Tingwell (drama), Tripod (comedy) and The Bald Archys (visual art), Chapel maintains a dynamic performance schedule, cementing its role as a vanguard for artistic and cultural excellence.
Described by Cabaret Festival supporter Geoffrey Rush as “an industrious hotbed [for the arts]”, since its opening in 1995 Chapel Off Chapel has earned, both nationally and internationally, an excellent reputation as a progressive arts and entertainment venue.
